Delivering Safety-Centric Services for Government Buildings
At LAR, we specialise in asbestos removal, mercury removal and soft strip demolition across a diverse range of publicly owned buildings, including occupied and public environments such as schools, civic buildings, fire stations, unoccupied premises as well as restricted MOD owned facilities.
These often are historically sensitive sites, listed buildings and CLASP buildings, requiring specialist on-site expertise.
Our clients include the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, HM Prison Services, Local Authorities, Fire Services, and Police.
We understand the unique challenges and nuances associated with working with public sector organisations. This is demonstrated by steady stream of public sector work and our commitment to delivering value for money.
Our commitment to delivering value for money, while ensuring quality and safety, reflects our dedication to responsibly managing public funds.
On such projects, LAR work closely with clients to ensure discretion as we recognise the vested interests from concerned parties. Through close communication and thorough planning, we ensure works run smoothly and disruption is kept to a minimum.

Case Study
One of LAR’s notable projects was completed at a widely recognised iconic hangar building based in Bristol.
The £1.5m project posed numerous unique challenges such as;
-
Accessing high-level pipework in restricted areas where building infrastructure was not able to be removed
-
Managing structural issues that posed additional risks to site operative
-
Safely removing a high volume of asbestos waste from high-level work areas
-
Conducting work in one of the ‘live’ hangar bays whilst still occupied
-
Addressing health hazards posed by pigeon guano to site operatives
Despite these obstacles LAR’s expertise ensured the project was completed within the 6 week timeframe without compromising safety or quality.
